A wrongful death claim is based on the death of a person due to a wrongful act of another person. Examples of wrongful death cases may include but are not limited to the following:
• Aviation accident
• 18-wheeler accident
• Car accident
• Birth injury
• Construction site accident
• Defective product
• Medical malpractice
• Motorcycle accident
• Nursing home abuse
• Slip and fall accident
Wrongful death lawsuits are filed on behalf of the members of the family
who have lost the support and companionship of a loved
one. Therefore, a child, wife or husband may be able
to recover damages for both support and companionship.
However, a parent who has lost a child may only be entitled
to damages for loss of companionship, not support. The
executor or administrator of the estate of the deceased,
or by individual beneficiaries (family members) may
file a wrongful death lawsuit.
At Reyes Bartolomei Browne, we've helped
numerous family members receive the fair amount in
damages they were entitled to because of the death
of a loved one. We can help determine if you have
a wrongful death case. If we handle your case, we
will fight hard to ensure you receive the compensation
you deserve for the loss of support and/or companionship
of your loved one. For more information, please contact one of our attorneys and find out what your case is worth.
